A Child Friendly Holiday at the Pine Cliffs Resort and Sheraton Algarve

Children’s Club

The club is split into two age groups. The first age group is for 3 and 4 year olds and the second age group is 5-8 years.  Entry into the club for the latter group is €15 per half day session and it’s €20 for the younger group.  Reductions are made when paying for blocks of 5-7 sessions or more.

Crèche

The crèche is open for babies between 6 and 36 months inside the Porto Pirata.  It is available from €40 per half day session. There are options for full day sessions that include lunch as well.

Babysitting

This is available at around €13 to €18 per hour for between 1 and 3 children. If you need babysitting services past midnight, the price climbs a bit to between €16 and €21 per hour. This is a good option to go with if you need professional eyes watching over the children while you head off for a bit.

Sports lessons

The tennis and golf academies at Sheraton Algarve Pine Cliffs resort are terrific attractions for children. Lessons can be booked on either an individual basis or in small groups.

Junior Club

The junior club is for children aged 8 and above. In the club, there are lots of supervised activities to keep youngsters entertained. Some of these include disc bowls, darts, water-ball, crossbow and aim shooting, football and mini-golf.

A weekly programme is available in the club during the festive season and over the summer. Activities at this time include basketball and tennis. Session tickets for the weekly programmes are sold in advance and can be bought during the week from the Concierge.

Dining

All restaurants at the Sheraton Algarve Pine Cliffs Resort allow children. The Corda Café is the option if you require early dinner for your children, and the Jardim Colonial opens at 18:30, offering a children’s buffet.

Equipment

Do you need highchairs or cots? These are available at the Sheraton Algarve Pine Cliff Resort and cost between €3,00 and €13,00 per day to hire. Bike hire is also available for older children.

Health Care

The Sheraton Algarve and Pine Cliffs Resort has a doctor available round the clock and there is a pharmacy and health centre just 5 minutes away from the resort. Serious illnesses or injuries cases are referred to the main hospital in Faro, which is just under 30 minutes away from the resort. Remember your travel insurance and you will have peace of mind.

The Beach

Children can access the beach via the lift if they are not up to the 70 steps down to the beach. The sand is clean and welcoming for children. The beach is safe and child-friendly.
