The majority of the ferries are operated by Caledonian MacBrayne (CalMac) who sail to twenty-two islands and four peninsulas on Scotland’s West Coast. As well as the ferries listed in the above pages, CalMac also operate a ferry in Northern Ireland from Ballycastle to Rathlin Island; while the Highland Council run a ferry across the Corran Narrows in Loch Linnhe from Nether Lochaber, to the south of Fort William, across to Corran in Ardgour.
